June 8: CELEBRITY EQUINOX was floated out from her
covered yard at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany on June
6. The 2,850-passenger cruise ship is the second in Celebrity's new
Solstice Class fleet. EQUINOX will travel down the River Ems June 19
or20, depending on tidal conditions and weather. After her sea trial
she is expected to debut at Southampton July 23 and begin her
service July 31 sailing from Southampton this summer on European
itineraries. In November she will be home ported in Fort Lauderdale.
