Wind Surf completes upgrades
Emerging from a five-week work period, Wind Surf re-entered
service from Barbados for the winter season with all ‘Degrees of
Difference’ enhancements completed on board. The
multimillion-dollar investment updated public spaces and
staterooms.
A pair of 500-square-feet luxury suites with whirlpool baths and
extra amenities and services were added on Bridge Deck, bringing
the ship’s capacity to 312 passengers.
Replacing the library, the Yacht Club was created as a social
hub with comfortable seating, a large flat-screen television,
books, DVDs, CDs, computers, Internet and gourmet coffee drinks.
All suite and stateroom bathrooms gained new fixtures and
cabinets, open glass shelves and granite countertops. Egyptian
cotton towels and bath amenities by L’Occitane have recently
been added.
Also in the staterooms, desks were resurfaced with granite, and
full-length mirrors added. Suites gained a second flat-panel
television and DVD player.
The Veranda, where breakfast and lunch are served, now offers
more covered outdoor seating. Balinese sun beds will soon be
added to the Star Deck, and cooling mist sprays will be located
near both pools.
The Bistro was renamed Degrees and serves a Joachim Splichal-inspired
steak house menu four nights a week and offers rotating menus
from Northern Italy, France and Indonesia other nights. There is
no charge, but reservations are required.
Degrees of Difference upgrades will follow on Wind Spirit in the
spring and Wind Star in the fall.
