DAY 1
|
Sunday
MALCHOW TO WAREN
Transfer from Berlin to embark Serenité moored in
picturesque Malchow. A 14th century town with a Gothic Abbey dated
1298, set in the undulating lowlands of the Mecklenburg Lake
District. Champagne Welcome and introduction to the vessel as we
cruise across the lakes of Fleesensee, Kulpingsee to the Muritzsee.

DAY 2
|
Monday
WAREN TO CANOW
Morning tour of Waren, a charming terraced town, with a visit to the
Muritz Museum. In the afternoon we continue cruising the Muritzee,
the second largest lake of Germany, bordering the Muritz National
Park where deer, bison and bird life can be spotted. Cruising along
the Muritz-Havel-Wasserstrasse, a combination of lakes and canals we
pass by the fishing village of Mirow and it's Castle Island. Dinner

DAY 3 |
Tuesday
CANOW TO BURGWALL
Morning excursion to Rheinsberg where we visit Rokoko Castle with
its romantic gardens immortalised by Kurt Tucholsky;s "picture Book
for Lovers". Returning to Serenité moored in Furstenberg, spanning
three islands with it's Castle and Monastary herb garden. A scenic
afternoon cruise through Schorfheide Nature Reserve finding a bay
for an anchor stop to enjoy an alfresco lunch on the sun deck.

DAY 4 |
Wednesday
BURGWALL TO TEGEL
Morning cruise to Zehdenick for a walking tour or a trip to visit
the town of Oranenburg and perhaps a visit to a traditional beer
Brewery. Lunch in a traditional German Gast Hof before joining
Serenité in Liebenwalde we cruise towards the outskirts of Berlin
along the Oberé-havel-Wasserstrasse -open waterway. Winding along
the River Havel and Spree as we cruise through the Grunewald 'Green
Forest'. Dinner aboard |

DAY 5 |
Thursday
TEGEL TO CHARLOTTENBURG
Begin the day cruising from western to former eastern Berlin where
we moor near the Brandenburg Gate once the pride of imperial Berlin
and Rheichstag Government House erected in 1884. Explore the Wall
Museum, containing documents and photographs of the construction of
the Berlin Wall erected in 1961 and falling in 1989, optional outing
to a traditional Berliner Kniepe. Moored for the night we stay in
central Berlin. Dinner aboard |

DAY 6 |
Friday
CHARLOTTENBURG TO POTSDAM
Morning cruise along the Spree, passing Wannsee - the
recreational area of the Berliners, the Peacock Island and famous
Glienicker Bridge where agents were exchanged. We pass the
Babelsberg Castle and the oldest film studios in the world. Moor for
an afternoon excursion to Potsdam - a town with an imperial
character. Here we visit 'Sanssouci Castle', once the summer
residence of Prussian King Frederick II, with its Roman Baths,
Orangerie and Chinese Teahouse. Captains Cocktail party followed by
candle lit dinner aboard. |

Saturday
POTSDAM TO BERLIN
Following breakfast disembark and return to hotel. |
