The Maxim Gorki as an attractive ship with a very distinctive funnel arrangement. Originally constructed as a trans-Atlantic passenger vessel she is now operated as a cruise ship doing round the world cruises. Powered by steam turbines she is very quiet on board. The ships carries a maximum of 788 passengers. The decor is completely authentic and very cool 1960s. The Maxim Gorki is German-speaking, but her Russian and Ukrainian crew love to practice their English. |

Accommodation ( Staterooms & Cabins)The ship offers the largest standard cabins and bathrooms you can imagine. Every cabin is equipped with 2 to 4 beds, lots of closet space, satellite TV, radio, telephone armchairs and table. All bathrooms, except of 20 cabins, have full bathtub. In each bathroom is a hair dryer and bathrobes. Suites on Promenade deck have huge panoramic windows, separate living room and mini bar. |

Gastronomy & Services There are three dining rooms: Odessa, Crimea and Sea restaurant. Which between them provide sufficient places for the ship to be considered as single seating dining. A buffet is also served in the Lido bar next to the pool deck. Service is provided by Russian and Ukrainian waiters and waitresses and is very friendly and well performed. The hotel management is under direction of Zerbone Catering which does a very good job. The food is international with a good variety of quality choices. There are fine Russian dishes on the menu.
