With the launching of the M.S. Sound of Music in the spring of 2006 the number of river vessels operated by Austrian River Cruises for the North American market increased to seven. Each one is specifically designed to provide a unique cruising experience. The fleet includes: The M.S. Sound of Music - Launched in March 2006, she is the latest river ship in the fleet accommodating 128 passengers on 5-star cruises on the rivers - Rhine, Main, Moselle and Danube. Offering fine cuisine and professional service as well as a full spa and work out facility. Cabins of the Danube deck have French balconies and those on the Rhine deck have panorama windows that open. An unusual feature are the flexi-suites which have the ability to convert 22 of the Danube deck cabins into 11 suites. The M.S. Johann Strauss – Launched in 2004 this near new ship carries 160 passengers on the waterways from Amsterdam all the way to the Black Sea. Spacious cabins, many with French balconies and sliding glass doors, offer a deluxe cruising opportunity. The M.S. Kazan - Cruising the waterways of Russia, the M.S. Kazan, likewise, is unmatched in quality and service by any other vessel sailing in its area of the world. With the largest cabins (and suites with Jacuzzi tubs), and superb service, the Austrian controlled M.S. Kazan is the queen of the Russian waterways The M.S. Rembrandt – this 80 passenger vessel has a one-meter draft, which allows it to cruise right into the heart of cities that others cannot reach, such as Bruges, Heidelberg and Nancy. The M.S. Brahms – Sister ship to the Rembrandt, this shallow-draft vessel cruises the Elbe and the rivers of Poland – waterways for which she is ideally suited. The M.S. Dnieper Princess – The waterways of Russia – between Kiev and Odessa – is the area of cruising for this vessel. It offers the best accommodations available in these waters. The M.S. Surikov – While not at the level of the Kazan, this newly refurbished vessel is still considered one-class-above the standard cruise ships traveling between Moscow and St. Petersburg. The heads of all ship’s departments and many of the staff are Austrian, to assure the best of service. |
