MV American Spirit was constructed at Maryland on the east coats of the USA in 2005. She is a purpose built vessel capable of cruising the shallows and flats of the Intra-coastal waterway, the Chesapeake and Florida Keys. She joins a fleet of two other small, specially constructed, shallow draft vessel specifically designed for inland waterway cruising. With single seating dining room, a large observation lounge in the front of the ship and a large sundeck aft complete with loungers, table and chairs, the ship is a comfortable and well presented small ship ideally suited for her itineraries. Charters and tax free meetings accepted. |

The ship docks in the heart of each town so that shopping, museums and other points of interest are within walking distance. There are historians, naturalists and local experts who speak on history, culture, ecology, and wildlife. There are several open decks and several glassed-in observation lounges for watching passing scenery. There is a library with a collection of videos previewing areas to be visited as well as current and classic films, there is a putting green on the recreation deck. The ship is used frequently by corporate groups and has satellite TV. Cuisine: American with local specialties.

| Itineraries: In 1995 The American Spirit starts cruising on Jun 11 in Baltimore. In early July she moves further north and cruises from New England, CT. Mid October sees her reverse course and work her way back Norfolk where she cruises the Carolina's until early December when she has 3 cruises to North Florida before retuning to her winter base in Charleston, SC. |
