Ship Report - Sea Dream II
The real question: Is it a yacht or is it a ship? In my opinion…IT IS A SMALL LUXURY SHIP…NOT A YACHT.
SeaDream II has been positioned in the cruise marketplace as your own private yacht, however, she can carry 110 passengers. Even Aristotle Onassis or Marjory Merriweather Post (the builders of the world’s largest and most luxurious private yachts) did not ask their guests to share with 100 + passengers.
What SeaDream II does bring to the
marketplace is the return to luxury of a small ship in the charter and
incentive arena. The new owners have taken small ship luxury to a new
level. T
Other new and much needed renewed guest
areas include an Asian Spa and gymnasium, a library, a golf simulator and
outdoor theater.
SeaDream II has revived the art of small ship luxury cruising for a select few individuals seeking the best and for the charter and incentive customers who are not content with putting 100 top winners on a ship with thousands of other cruise enthusiasts, their families and Aunt Edna.
With 89 crew for a maximum of 110 passengers you can envision the level of service in every area of the ship. From the moment you are greeted by the Captain as you arrive on board, you feel a sense special service from a well-trained and friendly crew. You will notice the custom created china and glassware and the silver service all commissioned just for this vessel. If you want to spend your week in your bathing attire, you can order your meals in private areas of the ship designed for just that purpose. If you want to dress for dinner, you will feel very comfortable in resort casual attire, no ties, no tuxedos no formal attire. The quality of the food and the preparation are of the highest caliber found on any deluxe cruise vessel. You know the chef and his staff will do whatever you desire to make your culinary experiences ones to remember.
Another well planned addition to the
SeaDream II are eighteen double
When it comes to off ship activities the SeaDream II carries her own variety of water toys and mountain bikes for exploring those off beat islands and reefs. There are ten mountains bikes, two wave runners, 7 kayaks, 2 motorized zodiacs for water skiing and snorkel adventures and a sail boat for exploring that private cove or beach. The water toys are launched from the ship’s floating marina off the aft end of the ship.
Is it a Yacht? No!
Is it a first class deluxe ship offering a yacht-like experience? Yes !
SeaDream II and her Sister SeaDream I are the perfect charter and incentive group vessels for those unique programs which demand the very best for the very few.
