I have always been a self employed entrepreneur so I know the importance of a putting a deal together that everyone can live with. Sales have always been a field that I have enjoyed working in so it was a natural fit for me to put together our sales team at Worldwide. I had previously been involved in a number of different enterprise, most recently I had a successful restaurant business in St. Thomas, USVI on a piece of ocean front property which I owned. I also had an interest in a business which catered to mini-cruise ships. We had dockage and related services as well as a travel agency which my wife, Diana ran, catering to the crew of the mini-cruise ships and the various yachts which berth at our facility. I was actively involved in different areas of servicing, supplying and assisting with operations of several well known smaller cruise ships which turned around at my facility. Eventually living in St. Thomas became rather wearing so the business's were sold. We eventually settled in the South of France, where I teamed up with an old client of mine - Jim Castle - and help him with sales and other related issues in his business of yacht chartering and management. With Diana we also set up a travel agency to cater to the various charter yachts and their clients as well as to the general public. During the recession in Europe in the early 1990's a decision was made to move the focus of the company more towards cruise ship and corporate cruising. We opened our first office in Fort Lauderdale in 1992 and solely concentrated our efforts on Corporate Incentives. From that humble beginning Worldwide has grown to be the company it is today. |
