Expedition Cruises In Demand

One of the hottest segments in the cruise industry today is all of the new builds in the Expedition Class of ships.  These ships are more luxurious from what the older generation of Expedition ships were.  Names like Silversea, Seabourn, Celebrity, and Ritz Carlton are in picture, as are investors building new ships for tour operators along with the established players like Ponant and Lindblad.

These new ships will be delivering the experiences that many people are looking for in luxury accommodations, with food and service to match.  While these cruises tend to be longer and more expensive we are finding our order book is filling up with more and more of these cruises.

One of our Australian clients chartered one of Celebrity’s small Galapagos cruise ships, the Celebrity Xperience (we now have numerous charters and groups booked in the Galapagos for under 100 paxs). This group had such an amazing experience they are going to Antarctica next. The photo below is smaller group on a custom tour while on Crystal in Alaska.

New Ports of Call in Europe Creating Buzz

With river cruises becoming more and more popular the search for new destinations is heating up! What interesting is that the cruise lines are adding smaller ports of call, and the clients are loving it. Smaller ports of call mean more unique locations, less tourist traps, and more personalized experiences.
